Abstract

Parents play a pivotal role in shaping a child's educational journey, influencing their academic success, emotional well-being, and future prospects. This article explores the ways in which parental involvement in education can enhance student outcomes, with a particular focus on the role of parents in Pakistan. Drawing on research from various international contexts, the article examines the impact of parents' educational background, socioeconomic status, and cultural values on children's academic achievement. Additionally, the article highlights strategies for fostering positive parent-school partnerships and the benefits of creating supportive home learning environments. The article concludes with recommendations for schools, educators, and policymakers to engage parents effectively in their children’s educational journeys.
